About this article: Written with the Perkins Archivist and the library and archives assistant, this article looks at the preservation and digitization of embossed materials in the Perkins School for the Blind collection, and on putting these materials in a historical context for other historians and librarians, along with comments about how these materials might be used to study reading and writing technology, especially those methods created for use by people who are blind.
